I love to create pen and ink and marker illustrations of nature and animals that explore themes of spirituality, girlhood, time, and memory. I’m a huge fan of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements!

Outside of school I love to read, sew, and go to concerts (when time permits). I try to dabble in just about any hobby I can get my hands on because I love the challenge of learning something new.

Fall 2024 -Spring 2025
Hi!
My name is Yoonjung, feel free to call me Vicky.
I graduated from MICA on May 2024, and currently striving to experience new/real art world .
As I majored in Illustration during undergraduate years, my drawing practice revolves around creating whimsical things out of daily life. I loved getting inspired from pop cultures, so my drawings usually derived from what I see, I hear, and I do.
My other passion comes with engaging in community especially children as I did MAT in my graduate years. Maybe that is the reason why I encountered Empact Art Studio, where a hunch of warm and inspiring people who love art gathers.

My inspirations when it comes to anything I create is fantasy storytelling whether it is from shows I watched or an idea that came to me. I honestly hope to one day create one of those ideas into a comic one day or a short film.
Other than that, I enjoy rollerskating, baking sweets, going to Ren Faire and concerts
